Anna Cei:

Hi, welcome to what matters most to you. In each Hi,

Adam Jang:

Hey,

Anna Cei:

good morning, Adam.

Adam Jang:

Good morning, Anna. How are you?

Anna Cei:

Ah here it's good evening in Mexico.

Adam Jang:

Good evening. My apologies.

Anna Cei:

Haha, that's okay. Good night, probably more even

Adam Jang:

Right now I am in Bangkok. I've been touring Asia half I have played in Canada, America, Australia, parts of Japan as well. And yeah, that's where I'm at right now.

Anna Cei:

They've been pretty much around the world.

Adam Jang:

Not everywhere. I really want to get into South

Anna Cei:

but we need to practice some Spanish then.

Adam Jang:

I know 'hola'

Anna Cei:

*laughter* I don't know .. do you drink, maybe want

Adam Jang:

How do I say I want a beer? cerveza right?

Anna Cei:

Una cerveza por favor

Adam Jang:

Una cerveza por favor...aaaaah

Anna Cei:

Yeah,

Adam Jang:

That was terrible. But I'll work on it. You can

Anna Cei:

I will definitely help you. What you do for a living is

Adam Jang:

Yes. I'm a musician. I also do some voiceover work

Anna Cei:

How long have you been able to live on or of your

Adam Jang:

I would... Comfortably? four years or so

Anna Cei:

*laughter* Well, how long have you been doing only

Adam Jang:

I'd say 10 years

Anna Cei:

Yes. I mean, you're pretty young. But are you if you

Adam Jang:

Yeah. I'm 32.

Anna Cei:

Let's see. I was spot on there.

Adam Jang:

Is that young?

Anna Cei:

That is very young. I mean, young. Yeah, it is.

Adam Jang:

I feel as old as a bag of dirt. For living off my

Anna Cei:

Well, I guess everything is relative as a

Adam Jang:

Oh, it depends what genre of music it is. Right?

Anna Cei:

Right *laughing*

Adam Jang:

You cannot. You h ve to be at least 50 years old t

Anna Cei:

Well I guess it has to do with you have to experience

Adam Jang:

Yeah. And be destroyed again and again. But

Anna Cei:

Why not?

Adam Jang:

It's kind of weird. It's kind of weird, right?

Anna Cei:

I'm thinking about the other young brothers AC DC. I

Adam Jang:

Okay, well, yeah, if you're at the heroic level of a

Anna Cei:

then it's okay.? *lauging*

Adam Jang:

You know, it's for nostalgia at that point, right? Look at the Stones and stuff, right? That's, um,

Anna Cei:

So you don't think that you can start playing metal

Adam Jang:

I don't think anyone should. *Laughing*

Anna Cei:

Why wait that long? Why? Why wait that long?

Adam Jang:

It's cool. Like typically, the natural back the other way, and you end up playing blues music

Anna Cei:

has that been your tour or like your journey?

Adam Jang:

That's just what I've noticed from people. I've met

Anna Cei:

Yeah,

Adam Jang:

though it's a lot more work for me to do it at and stuff, right? So, I mean, th t's what he was doing all the h g a different group of people ar und with me, depending on where

Anna Cei:

Right,

Adam Jang:

you know,

Anna Cei:

so your life right now circles around YETI?

Adam Jang:

It has for, since the beginning of Yeti. Yeti has made his soul rock in peace. And then I did a second second album

Anna Cei:

What made you go? You just, one day said I want to go

Adam Jang:

Here's the thing, right? Like Vancouver is not a

Anna Cei:

Is it because there's a lack of venues or is it

Adam Jang:

Well,. It's, it's the, it's how music has been devalued it, bands are playing for no money, they're not play once a week on certain spots.

Anna Cei:

Now, I understand that but I mean, so so for you going

Adam Jang:

I need to get the heck out. I am a rock star not w, that Batman movie, where t e guy's got with Batman falls f. But at the end Batman gets ut of the frickin well.

Anna Cei:

Ah,

Adam Jang:

And the well is Vancouver, the endless hole

Anna Cei:

The endless hole *laughing*

Adam Jang:

so do the jump. Right? Yeah,

Anna Cei:

right right the jump Yeah, that's important. Maybe we I was thinking since we're talking about you and your

Adam Jang:

Of course.

Music - Texas Tornado:

Music by YETI - Texas Tornado

Anna Cei:

That was cool. Thank you so much.

Adam Jang:

No worries Thank You.

Anna Cei:

So now, now when we know a little bit about you, we

Adam Jang:

What matters most to me? is living a life that I have

Anna Cei:

You want to be the boss of your life, the captain?

Adam Jang:

I want to be in control of my life and do what I

Anna Cei:

And when when in life, did you realize that that was

Adam Jang:

Since the beginning, when I could have cognitive you wanted to be having your freedom?

Anna Cei:

Was it like..

Adam Jang:

I want to do whatever the heck I wanted to do. I was

Anna Cei:

Were you a rebelliing teenager as well,?

Adam Jang:

I was a very bad man for most of my life.

Anna Cei:

*laughing* So how does this play into your life? Are

Adam Jang:

It's not so much selfishness, as it is thinking stuff. But that would you know, I'm going to miss my cat, I'm about place, but I'm going to do it anyways. Because that's what send them back to your parents for for money, right? Something

Anna Cei:

*laughing* Something like that. That happens to most

Adam Jang:

Oh, yeah, sure. And so you know, just any be

Anna Cei:

Have you ever been afraid?

Adam Jang:

No, I'm fearless. I got balls of steel, honey.

Anna Cei:

That doesn't sound too comfortable. Anyway. So this has

Adam Jang:

Yeah, you have to be a warrior. You have to be a bad

Anna Cei:

Batman.

Adam Jang:

If you got to do it, right. So that's how, yeah, it's

Anna Cei:

Mm hmm.

Adam Jang:

A lot of people need their handheld throughout life, Otherwise, there would be chaos.

Anna Cei:

You think there would be chaos is everybody was their

Adam Jang:

yeah, absolutely. If there were like 1000 me's or

Anna Cei:

so you're not gonna meet with me when you come to

Adam Jang:

Oh, you're far more badass than I am. We're gonna

Anna Cei:

*laughter* So good. So with this kind of fearlessness,

Adam Jang:

Well, if if it doesn't work, at least I can

Anna Cei:

Right. It's a small fight. And what are some cons?

Adam Jang:

Cons to living like this?

Anna Cei:

Yeah, yeah.

Adam Jang:

I personally don't see any because if, if there

Anna Cei:

isn't that what it comes down to Adam like, you

Adam Jang:

It's goals and the will and testicular fortitude to Yes

Anna Cei:

So...and those are..D you have any other goals beside

Adam Jang:

I have goals every day I wake up my one of my goals cats. I'm a cat guy. I like cats. Do you like cats?

Anna Cei:

Uh..Yes, I do. But I'm very allergic to them.

Adam Jang:

Oh, no.

Anna Cei:

I like animals. I mean, animals are people too in

Adam Jang:

Yeah, they're great. Yeah, I like them.

Anna Cei:

Oh, she's still in Vietnam?. And she ..and you are

Adam Jang:

I'm gonna try to get her out of there and stuff. But

Anna Cei:

It goes kind of against that being captain in

Adam Jang:

No, not at all. It's just the the legality issue kind bothers me. But, you know, if I if I have to I'll do it. It's

Anna Cei:

Right. So this philosophy, this idealism of

Adam Jang:

To some degree.To some degree.

Anna Cei:

Thank you, missionary man.

Adam Jang:

Hey, man. It's, uh, pretty much I write in in

Anna Cei:

Yeah

Adam Jang:

But um, yeah, roughly, it's each album that

Anna Cei:

Mmm you can tell us a little bit about like, what kind

Adam Jang:

Okay, so each world of events that has happened in each an album.

Anna Cei:

Aah, cool.

Adam Jang:

And, and Yeti is me. Okay. And Yeti is from 1972.

Anna Cei:

immersed, immersed in them.

Adam Jang:

Yeah. And he doesn't know what the hell is happening. Well, the first single, at least has been released soon is called

Anna Cei:

Yeah my history. My history

Adam Jang:

Exactly. Yeah. And I came up with this concept, about the history of something. And I would be like, in in a music does not sell now, and it will sell less and less and

Anna Cei:

Mm hmm.

Adam Jang:

A lot of money. Hollywood is still booming, in and of itself is a dying niche. No new shit anymore. old guy putting that out and have it still be successful.

Anna Cei:

Right? You're creating your own history.

Adam Jang:

Absolutely. As we all are,

Anna Cei:

because the name Yeti when I now heard that what

Adam Jang:

It is ?

Anna Cei:

well you know, I mean, isn't it?

Adam Jang:

a mountain climber?

Anna Cei:

Right? Yeah, I mean Himalayas? I mean, that's where

Adam Jang:

Oh, yeah. The Himalayas? Yes.yes

Anna Cei:

Yeah. yeah So the Yeti, Yeti is like the mountain

Adam Jang:

Yeah, that'd be sweet video, too.

Anna Cei:

*laughter* So you talked about your albums as

Adam Jang:

I love to be able to actually do a full production Ah, so it is it like a documentary? But things, things didn't wor out. But I still have th Not really, it's a it's a completely fictional story based

Anna Cei:

I mean, besides, there's like these past years, conceptual movie based on an album

Adam Jang:

Yeah like that. That was actually artistic. That really think he wants people to, people to really remember him really happened. You're just making up a whole bunch of sh*t

Anna Cei:

I mean, then you have other movies like are bordering

Adam Jang:

at least that's fictional, at least a wonderful

Anna Cei:

No. Yeah I know. I haven't seen

Adam Jang:

Oh, it's excellent. southpark. But it's but it's a

Anna Cei:

I think I'm, I'm very I don't know a lot about pop hiding.

Adam Jang:

it is good.

Anna Cei:

It's like..there's not enough time in a day. And maybe

Adam Jang:

Yeah, it's good stuff. Highly recommend it Anna.

Anna Cei:

I think of like, what you were talking about the

Adam Jang:

Yeah, Tommy.

Anna Cei:

Right. Right.

Adam Jang:

That was all right. That was a really weird movie.

Anna Cei:

yeah, I mean, both that I mean, all of these Hair, that.

Adam Jang:

Absolutely. I'm already doing it. I just need

Anna Cei:

So you have more goals coming up? Obviously, it sounds

Adam Jang:

And if it doesn't, I'll be dead. And it won't

Anna Cei:

Exactly. Exactly. *laughter* Yeah, that's like, yeah, I always say that, you die. You know what, what's worse than that?

Adam Jang:

then a couple 100 bucks on a plane ticket, and you

Anna Cei:

and then it doesn't matter anyway, you know. So

Adam Jang:

no

Anna Cei:

no,

Adam Jang:

absolutely not.

Anna Cei:

So I really wish you a wonderful future. Adam,

Adam Jang:

thank you so much.

Anna Cei:

In the description, we will have all the links to where

Adam Jang:

Great, thank you so much.

Anna Cei:
